Pepe Tuna I and II exists as part to several series of artworks such as Ngaro Blowfly – The Urban Botanist where Tuffery reflects his own personal views and experiences across a range of environmental concerns surrounding sustainable management of our eco systems. His observation into natural habitats has drawn him to reference urban environments and links mythical Maori and Polynesian relationships between Tane and Tangaroa as he connects the land, sea and man.
