First Contact gives a 21st century view of 18th century Pacific history. The exhibition brings together Tuffery’s recent paintings, drawings, bronze sculpture and his iconic life sized Povi (bulls) also included is his latest project – a time based media installation rendering Tuffery’s images and archival footage of material from Cooks voyages to the Pacific.
